Celga review

I see questions about Celga here from time to time, and seeing as I got my order in from Celga today I thought I'd drop a quick review.
Suffice it to say that I am very very impressed and pleased with the service I got from Celga. The prices, both the service commission and EMS shipping, are more than fair. I paid only $25 for shipping of a JSK, shirt, and skirt. I might add, though it reflects more on the actual Y!Japan sellers than Celga itself, that all three items were in wonderful condition and even nicer than I'd expected. The shipping from Celga took only 3-4 days. Hands-down positive experience, I'd definitely use Celga again. <3

are you talking about www.celga.com/egl? i'm not quite sure how this website works...at a first glance it seems like a middle man between the buyer and japanese egl shops. i don't understand ;___;

They are the middle man. Most japanese shops/sellers will not ship overseas at all, so you need celga to do it for you (as they are located within Japan).

Basically you pick an item (or items) from a shop, send them all your info + payment (including domestic JPN shipping), then they buy it for you. Then when the item arrives (usually about 10-14 days later, sometimes longer depending) you pay for international shipping.
There is a form at the top of the egl site to do so.

The crappy thing is services like celga (and others) charge fees ontop of the item price and shipping costs. However, you either pay these fees or never be able to get the item ^^;

I like Celga's service as well. :)
I haven't actually received my order yet since it was sent to my parents house, but it took them under four days to ship it...and it came a really logn way, too.
I did have to pay around $100 for shipping, but many of the things I got were *very* heavy, so that is completey understandable!

I had to pay about $100 for shipping once too. But I had ordered so much stuff the box was big enough for me to crawl inside of. The boots and parasol I had ordered really didn't help with the size of the package. So it made sense in my situation too.

I had actually saved up money for buying egl that month. I had saved up A LOT of money to spend. It was both horrifying and fun to receive that box in the mail XD

Yes I did. It was as I was going to bed and I forgot to reply in the morning. I'm so bad! I'm sure you're used to this by now tho :P Sorry!!! You can send me an invoice for what you think is fair. I'm fine with helping out.

My last couple shipments have been like that too! But with sooooo much stuff in that huge box (including shoes), it came out to be much less than $10 an item. I'm so glad they store'n'ship like that.

I love celga as well. Sometimes I make them place very last minute bids for me, like within 2 hours, and they get it done in time. I still hate the high costs of EMS shipping though :\
