Ordering in items from Angelic Pretty

Hi guys, I decided to get the Magical Etoile JSK and headbow in navy, unfortunately I missed out on the headbow, but it says it's available to order in. I just waded through bad google translations and several wild guesses to order the jumperskirt, but when I try order the headbow the only payment option is "代金引換" which according to Google is cash on delivery. Obviously I know I can't choose that option. Has anyone used this option before, and how long does it take to order stuff in,, or do you just have to wait for items to come back in their own time? Any help figuring this out would be much appreciated. Thanks!

ive had this happen to me and it was very confusing. basically, anything in pink is ava for online order, and grey items are only cash pick up in store only.
you might get an email from AP in a few days regarding this and the order will be canceled.

other then that it seems you might need to wait for the web site to restock it for web orders, or get a SS, or wait for the comm to have it ava...:/

Thanks for clearing that up! I too ordered something recently and saw the little grey box thinking that it meant while it wasn't available online, that they would get the stock in from another store and send it out. It made sense to me, but then what you have said makes sense as well.

Luckily, I waited a day or two to place my purchase making sure it wasn't just an impulse buy and they had restocked anyway.

I will keep this in mind for future purchases - thanks :)

Actually, the gray ones can still be mailed - they just 1) take longer than things in-stock for the online store and 2) can only be paid for via COD, which Tenso does not accept.
So if you have a shopping service that accepts COD orders, that works too.
It's more expensive, though - you have to pay an extra fee (¥300 I think?) in addition to the shipping, and if you're ordering in-stock items too, you have to make two different orders, which means two shipping charges.

You're correct. The text in the grey box means お取り寄せる which basically means to have it sent from a store that does have stock. I wasn't aware that this would mean COD only but yes on any online shop COD usually has about 400 yen in extra fees- this is not AP charging this, it's the post office. As for the OP's original question- my experience is that ordering from another store is that it doesn't take any longer but I'd called the shop directly and didn't go through the online shop. By the way, if you have a shopping service they can order items from shops outside of Tokyo over the phone and pay by COD or by registered cash mail.

I was just trying to figure this out yesterday. I'm using "Tokyo Pirates" to get my pick up items. She has been great thus far so if you ever need something that doesn't restock, I recommend looking into her service.

I second this. I want to get the Porter Chocolate Pouch but couldn't figure out how to order it, it's just too troublesome. I rather pay Tokyo Pirates to deal with it in my place. :/

Tip: They have that bag in brown (beige is sold out everywhere) at Shinjuku AP.

I wouldn't recommend that service if you are looking for something not easily available. I pointed this out once before on another post but I once saw her tumblr where she had posted that a particular item was very hard to find and had been sold out of all shops months ago and that she knew this because she'd been searching high and low for one for a customer who'd placed an order with her, but the week before this was posted I'd seen the exact JSK in the correct color and style at 2 different brand shops as well as seen it pop up several times at Closet Child...one just sat there and was there for weeks after that Tumblr was posted. So it seems they aren't too good at finding things. I felt bad for that customer and wished I'd known who it was because I would've just sent it to them myself.

First, thank you for the tip, I mailed my shopping service immediately and they'll try to get it for me tomorrow. :)

Second, I actually recommend Tokyo Pirates and your story seems more like an exception. I've used them many times and Jamie was always able to get my stuff, even my Honey Cake JSK, which she got for me through a friend of a friend. :) I think it's kinda understandable if she doesn't know the stock of every store all the time and doesn't search all the stores regulary for a customer. In the end it's much time and work she might not even get paid if she doesn't find it (or she'd have to charge travel fees without providing a product).
But that's just a thing about shopping services, they are human, too. ^^
