Custom House calf skin leather?
29th-Apr-2014 09:30 am
Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has placed an order recently for any of Custom House's shoes in calf skin leather? I've tried looking through the community and most of the reviews were either a few years old or were for shoes that weren't made with leather. I'm really looking to get some lolita shoes that will stand up to daily use and my current ones aren't cutting it, so I'd like to see how Custom House's leather shoes hold up. Does anyone own any?

I haven't bought leather shoes from custom house but I have bought a PU pair so I can only say what they were like. The pair I bought were the worst Lolita shoes I've ever had, the smell of glue etc was incredibly strong and the shoes were poor quality. The style I ordered had a crown on the front, this was just cut out and not even edged. I was so disappointed i just threw them away. This was a few years ago so I don't know if they've got better recently.
I know Emily Temple Cute and Jane Marple make leather shoes but they are expensive. R-series make leather shoes for classic, I don't know if they would be suitable for you?i guess it depends what styles you are looking for.

Oh wow, that sounds absolutely awful :S Thank you for letting me know, I'm definitely a lot more skeptical about their quality now.

I'll take a look at all those brands :) I'm hoping to not have to spend more than $50-100, but if it's for something that is long lasting, I might be willing to spend more. I only wear sweet lolita so hopefully I can find some nice white shoes~

It's certainly worth looking at Taobao Lolita brands, some have their own shoes like r-series and classical puppets. I hope you find what you are looking for.

I bought a calfskin pair about two years ago and was quite pleased with them. I started a review for them on my journal but never got around to finishing it.

How did they hold up in rain, if you don't mind me asking? I want a pair of lolita boots I can wear on rainy days, haha~
