Well, yesterday I purchased Meta Wheel of Time JSK. http://www.metamorphose.gr.jp/resources/upload/products/110410060039.jpgP

I am thinking of brown boots or maryjanes. I am also thinking if I should wear brown tights, if I get olive green tights it feels like it will not make the dress pop. I need some advise please and thank youu!

I think boots would give it a very steampunkie or more rustic vibe and mary janes would be more girly or Lolita-y. I think both are great ideas and it would just depend on what kind of "feel" you would want to take it. My one piece of advice is that if you get boots, make sure they are actual boots with a textured sole and not smooth on the bottom.

I was thunking of mary janes since I want to try to make it look classic but I want to find the right pair. But boots is screaming out to me oh yes I plan to find one with a good heel. I'm not sure if I should do ankle boots or calf boots. You think brown tights will be fine. I don't think black will compliment it. Nor olive color tights as well.

Again, everything I'm suggestion is just personal opinion but I think ankle or calf boots depends on the shape of your legs. It's always important to remember that though Lolita has certain rules (a general shape and volume to the skirt, ect) it is still a street fashion so it's important to dress to flatter your body type. Look up this sort of thing on fashion blogs or on youtube since I think the color and style details of the boot need to be Lolita-ish but the actual type of boot is more of a general styling issue.

In terms of tights I think black can work if black is a color already featured in the dress's design (the link doesn't work for me so I don't know which colorway you got) but if it's no where else in the coord then maybe you should try to avoid it. Brown comes in a lot of different shades and it might be best to make sure the tights match either a brown on the JSK or it could be a brown that's not found on the JSK but matches the blouse. Another coord theory you could go with is to have the tights and other accessories (jewelry, hair pieces, so on) match each other regardless of the colors on the JSK. Olive green is a good color but I find it's definitely a more casual color then either black or brown so, again, I think the "vibe" or "feel" of where you want to take this coord is important.

Aww its the olive color with antique white high collared blouse. I decided to go with ankle boots, I think it will make the outfit more elegant ^^ ah yes if anything I'll look for the tights that match the blouse, thank you very much! :D

Your link didn't work so I went to the site myself to look but I don't know what color you got. I'm assuming you got olive because of your comment re: olive tights and that's what I base my suggestions on. I would absolutely NOT wear brown tights...IMHO that would look awful and"heavy". I would wear ivory tights and brown boots but deep brown to match the waist ribbon, not camel. Someone made a very good point about ankle boots not looking good on everybody. If they are loose ankle boots then anyone can pull them off but with this type of dres you'd want those tight little lace up booties and unless you have thin legs that will look bad, especially with ivory tights if you were to go with my suggestion. In that case I would recommend knee high boots. Personally I think mary janes would look bad with that dress...someone mentioned that the boots would give you a steampunk vibe which is true, but the dress and its print themselves have a steampunk vibe so trying to mix it with sweet lolita maryjanes would IMHO be totally random. I think a cute little hat would also really add to this outfit, brown would be nice. An ivory bag to tie in the ivory tights would also look nice. Good luck with your outfit choices!

Just want to add that if you got the Ivory colorway then brown tights would be fine but you'll be stuck on shoe color because black would clash and brown on brown would look really odd.

Wooooow, very great advice I will start searching right away! Thank you very much!! ^_^ I'll definately pay attention to the colors to make this coord gorgeous!

I bought this dress too, but in the ivory colorway because the green was sold out. (also- not sure if you're talking about the zipper JSK or the drop waist. I got the Zipper one.)

I'm planning on wearing it with brown lace up boots, white granny booties, or brown oxfords. There are a ton of cute military-esque olive green shoes out there. If I had gotten the green dress, I would wear it with a heeled green suede military-styled frilled loafer. (I feel with a more masculine style like a loafer or oxfords, the heel really helps make it a bit more feminine.) I personally think it would look really cute coordinated with brown or cream, and with gold accessories. Instead of a headbow, a green or brown beret would look good too, especially paired with boots.

First of all, have you picked a blouse to go with the dress yet? If not, I like how meta has styled it with a cream colored one. I'd personally go for a cream blouse with a dark brown neck ribbon (or you can buy a high quality length of ribbon and add your own if you can't find a blouse with a neck ribbon).

Because of how busy the dress is, I'd pick a cream tight or OTK sock with a corresponding pattern (something subtle though, so a print that's dark cream on cream, or gold on cream or something not too busy) as my first choice, with solid cream tights as my second choice.

Then, I'd personally do dark brown boots, maybe a taller boot, so that there is more of the dark brown, then that could tie back up to the neck ribbon and starts to balance the darker color.

The top of the bodice is relatively plain, so if you have longer hair/wig, you might wear some of it forward in that area and then a nice necklace like in the stock photo, maybe a watch or key or similar motif. If you have dark brown hair/wig, that will finish the balance of the brown and you can wear olive, cream and gold hair accessories.

If you want to wear your hair off of your shoulders or shorter, you could add a brooch/corsage to the bodice on one side. I'd personally look for one with a steampunk sort of motif to match the print. In your hair, if it's light, a dark brown bow or facinator with olive/gold/cream as accent colors. If it's dark, an olive bow or facinator with cream or gold accents.

Then add accessories, I'd say antique brass colored metal jewelry?

-------------------- Alternative 2-----------------
This is going to be a much darker coord, and I'd only suggest it if your hair/wig is dark brown.

You would start with a dark brown blouse, and then you are going to add a necklace that is a brighter gold tone with cream accents. Dark brown x cream printed OTK socks, that are heavy on the dark brown, and dark brown tall boots. Maybe some sort of olive accent in a shoe clip on the boots? Then, add cream and brighter gold (with olive accent) jewelry. Then in your hair, an olive bow or facinator with cream and bright gold accents.

This really relies more on having all the browns match, and being able to find the right socks and the right headpiece, so I'd really consider this the harder of the two coordinates to put together. If I was personally going to do this one, I'd commission someone to make me a matching headpiece just for this dress, TBH.

(p.s. I like that song ^_^)

Yes of course, I purchased their high collared blouse in antique white ( the sleeves! I'm in love with!) . As soon as as I get payed I'm definately going to buy some cream colorerd tights. The boots will be a challenge to find, I think once my dress arrives I'll be wearing it to stores, I want to find a really nice pair, ^^.
For head piece I forgot to say I purchased the head dress as well ( in oive), maybe I can put a little gold accent to it but not overdo it. My hair is dark brown and I'll be wearing it exactly how you decribed :D (I sometimes don't like tying my hair up D:)

I'll take it you've watched/ read NANA, I love that series a lot though I haven't finished reading it, but I'm almost there!!!!
