Hello lovelies!

I'm delighted to debut the first issue of our new Lolita magazine: Pretty in Petticoats!

Our first issue is Winter themed, and we're hoping to put out 3-4 issues per year, but we're still deciding between a quarterly or semi-annual release.

The first issue is only $4 USD for a digital copy, or you can pay $13 USD for a digital and print bundle, to be mailed directly to you from the publisher.

If you enjoy the magazine, and would like to participate in discussions, or would like to contribute pictures/articles, please like us on Facebook!

Thank you so much! We really hope people like it!
We definitely learned a lot from making it, and are already getting a head-start on the next issue!

This is pretty but 4 dollars for a digital bundle when you can download full scanned issues of KERA for free, or 13 bucks for a physical copy which costs more than the notoriously expensive Gothic and Lolita Bible, for an amateur magazine, is REALLY steep. I can't imagine what would warrant such costs, but I suggest that if you really want this to succeed, to rethink your pricing a little bit. :/ Most glossy, profesionally assembled magazines cost 3-4 bucks in stores.

If you're viewing scans of KERA online, you're doing so illegally. They certainly don't want you to have their magazines for free.

And as for the printed copies, the fees that you are paying are much more to do with MagCloud's prices for printing and shipping. We're only asking for a small margin on top of that.

And most glossy magazines are not mooks. That's sort of the idea. We're hoping to rival GLBs in terms of length and production value eventually, but so far we've been doing as much as possible with only a small group of contributors and no budget.

Lastly, please take into account: we're all volunteers! So anything that you are paying into the magazine (that isn't getting eaten up by MagCloud fees), is being reinvested directly into helping the magazine grow! So hopefully each issue will get better and better!

(Also, where are you getting GLBs for $12 shipped? Because I'd definitely want to know about it! As far as I've always paid, they're minimum $20 shipped, or $20-30 in Japanese bookstores in the US)
