International Shoppers and Issues with Closet Child?
On September 14, I placed an order with their store. I also placed orders on September 18 and 21. None of those orders shipped. I received an automated message after each order, followed by a "personal" message sent by a staff person informing me that they were preparing my items and would send a tracking number when they were ready. For those who aren't counting, that means it's been 3 weeks (21 days) since I placed my first order with no further updates. It's been about 2 weeks (14 days) since the last two orders were submitted.
In the past, I've never had this issue. I placed my orders and had them shipped 2-3 days later. Understandably, I've been pretty concerned and have sent the store 2 messages during the past 2 weeks. I have always attempted to be cordial (while using simple English), stated my order numbers, and asked if there was a problem preventing my orders from being sent.
One of the reasons that I am very anxious is that I am moving to a different address in one week. (I didn't expect it to take more than 4 weeks to ship my orders based on my prior experiences with them!) In the past, Closet Child has not been very reliable in terms of mailing orders to the correct address (4 out of 5 packages would be sent to my billing address, not my requested shipping address). Because of this, I feel like it will be a lost cause asking them to change addresses and ship to my new address. I sunk about $300 in these orders, and I really don't want them hanging in limbo, bouncing between addresses (or worse, being returned to the sender).
Does anyone have any advice? Or is anyone else currently experiencing the same issues with the store? Am I just really unlucky?
