Fanplusfriend print. Winner or loser?
I rather like it. And the colorways are just a bit different.

Personally, I like it. I plan to get the skirt in the dark green colorway.
The blouse for the 2 piece dress looks odd and a bit shiny, so I am perfectly happy with the skirt.
Aiming to pair it with this jacket: http://fanchaos.com/fanplusfriend/c6/Gothic_Lolita_Oriental_Dame_Short_Jacket_Shrug_&_Jabot_CT00136_01.jpg

I saw a preview from Krad Lanrete with windows and the sky, but the cat didn't do it for me. This one with it's castles and story are much more suited for my kind of style~

Kinda like it, but WHY use a shiny material ?!
If you don't master the art of shiny materials (like Chantilly does), DON'T USE THEM.
Sheesh, that's not hard ('>_>)...

I really like the dress. I'm tempted to get it. People are complaining about the shininess, but it does say silk under materials. If it is genuine silk, I would be okay with the shine.

It looks synthetic from the images.
7th-Aug-2013 06:05 pm (UTC)
It does seem likely that it's synthetic since f+f doesn't list real silk in their materials page. If I buy it, I will do a burn test to confirm the material.

Then you could do a review for everyone. :3

I like where they were going with it and I look forward to seeing them come out with their own prints, but this one does look cheap to me.

I don't like it, it's pretty tacky in my opinion. That glow on the frames, all the repeating patterns, the vector-style combined with the photoshop madness...all in all it's just way to clipart-y for me.
But I DO like the cut of the skirt, looks really flattering. And I like the fact that they chose two jewel tones, but honestly that's about it :(

I like it a lot. Especially in the emerald green! We need more emerald green dresses.

I agree. More intense greens for me, too. Get rather tired of mint. ;)

I do really like the print. The fabric.... eeeh I'm iffy but I do like it as a whole.

It's really unfortunate that the skirt version is so plain. I wish they'd charge a little extra (like 20$) and keep the ruffles and the top bit, instead of just slapping together a sort-of plain skirt at a 65$ markdown, because I don't really like the blouse that comes with the three-piece very much at all. That's just my personal opinion, though.

I agree. The addition of the ruffle at the hem would be really nice on the skirt.

I like the idea and colors, but the actual print looks like one of those knockoff glow-in-the-dark puzzles from China.

*lol*

I liked that they made a normal head bow, instead of the too big ones that they often create.
7th-Aug-2013 12:55 am (UTC)
I hate the pink colorway which is strange because I usually like pink. It's just that pink is really in your face, especially with that shade of purple on it. Eesh. However, the other two colorways are really nice!
7th-Aug-2013 02:41 am (UTC)
THIS. The two jewel tones are really pretty, but then I scrolled down to the pink and it was so "Bleecchhhh".
7th-Aug-2013 10:34 am (UTC)
It's just so... pink.
7th-Aug-2013 02:11 am (UTC)
Oh that green one is just to die for! I love it!!!
7th-Aug-2013 06:31 am (UTC)
The blue and green are nice, but the pink is kind of eye-watering. XDDD;; I might consider the high-waisted skirt in the other two colours, though. Black would be nice too! I wish they had it.

To me it looks like one of those shirts you get from the booths in the middle of the mall, you know the ones that look like a bunch of photoshopped images all stuck together? Wolf jumping out of flames with a tie dye background.

I dunno, I think its a bit tacky.

Call me crazy, but that collection in Green x Gold (and the OP design) has that Maria Renard (Castlevania: SoTN) vibe :P

Have to admit the print design and colourways are pretty, though :D
7th-Aug-2013 07:25 pm (UTC)
Agreed. :)
If only AATP would come out with a Castlevania print...
12th-Aug-2013 08:57 am (UTC)
IT MUST HAPPEN!! >:D
7th-Aug-2013 11:11 pm (UTC)
it does a look like Maria XD XD I would be in bliss if Ayami Kojima ever designed a print. <3 *.*
12th-Aug-2013 09:01 am (UTC)
Oh god, I'll definitely buy her print(s) if she makes a collab with any brands! ( TT u TT)

I was like in an instant--- "did I saw this from somewhere?? Hey, it's something Maria would wear!" XD
7th-Aug-2013 05:39 pm (UTC)
I like both colour ways (it always comes down to blue or green for myself). But the material looks a little shiny. It's hard to tell how it would look in natural light and if this would add/lessen the shine issue.
7th-Aug-2013 07:19 pm (UTC)
I see they are doing jewel tones but I think I would like to see this in cream.
16th-Aug-2013 01:12 am (UTC)
I would like this better if would come in black, but the blue colourway is perfect! The green one also isn't bad, it gives a "toxic" vibe to it. But the pink color no x.x, it's too bright and pastel like for a print like this. The fabric well is ok for me, not too shiny.
