SCAMMER! AN*TAI*NA, 5 months still waiting my order..

Hello Everybody!

I'll be quick, I ordered on September 5 directly with them through email and paypal ($ 100 USD), they gave me the tracking number, I don't know what the hell happened in China Post that many packages were stuck.
I understood the situation and waited, I lost communication with Antaina last December, they stopped answering my emails when I asked for a refund. I checked the tracking number but no longer appears in the system since 30 Sep had no new status.

The point is that the package never left China, never! It's still there. Antaina never went to ask about my package, they said they "We don't have any news, wait"

But was this the last status says being prepared to leave China.
My question is if anyone has a similar situation or someone has ordered them recently. We should be alert about this seller.

Unfortunately I hoped that my shoes will arrive, so  I don't open an paypal dispute, I know big mistake ...
Be careful if you order directly from them, even though they had previous positive reviews (I bought 2 times before without any problem, so I trusted ... )

I'm very sorry that this happened to you. However, An*Tai*Na is definitely not a scammer, nor can be blamed for this situation. Even if the package never left the country of China, it undoubtedly left their warehouse (otherwise the tracking number would not exist.) They can't be blamed for the shipping company losing your package. So although it is extremely unfortunate that this occurred, but calling An*Tai*Na a scammer is pretty brash.

Also it's been holidays time. They can arrive in next few months. You can contact your post office again but they won't help you much. Best you can do is to wait more.

Please delete scammer alert as antaina is not a scammer nor did scam you.

It might be the post office's fault, but I don't think that's any reason to tell her to delete the scammer alert. Any seller worth their weight in bubble envelopes would at least try to contact the post office to try to track down the package, and blocking/ignoring a buyer's emails is entirely inappropriate.

Also, if the package had any insurance placed on it, the seller/shipper has to be the one to file a claim with the post office for compensation, which does not seem to have been done.

It may not have been intentional scamming, but by ignoring their buyer, this certainly is not the sign of a good seller and based on Paypal standards, this would be considered a scammer situation. Unfortunately for the OP, 5 months is far beyond the claim window. =/

the OP stated that she emaled them demanding a refund. If I were Antaina, I'd block a user asking for refund when I had shipped the items I were selling. So it's rather OP's fault for adressing Antaina directly a scammer and demanding refund, instead of informing them politely about the whole situation. I'm sure that someone from Antaina would check the parcel/post office and reply them with status. But instead they become somehow harassed for a refund, when they already had shipped and produced the item.

I'm curious where the "harassing" occurred. It may or may not have happened. The topic of a refund could have been in the first email the OP sent, it could have been the 15th email after she's repeatedly asked for assistance in the most polite manner possible. I haven't seen the original emails exchanged, and I assume you haven't either. Without that it's rather brash to assume the OP was harassing anyone. =/

Also, if one of my buyers asked for a refund, I would simply explain that I have a no refund policy and whatever other shipping/refund policy that might apply, but I would offer to do my best to help in tracking down the package. I wouldn't just ignore them. Completely ignoring a customer is one of the worst things you can do.

I'm not saying that the OP must have done everything correctly, but I'd like to remind you that the post doesn't contain the entire situation (it actually doesn't describe too much at all aside from the screen cap), and it's unfair to jump to any conclusions and claim that the OP is at fault.

I used somehow harassed in the meaning it could be taken by Antaina as a harassment. Also, I haven't said anywhere it was OP's fault, nor was Antaina's. I know Chinese mentality (and Japanese too) and I'd never really send them an email asking for a refund before even trying to figure it somehow. It is very rude.
Also, I took my assumptions from OP's posts.
I lost communication with Antaina last December, they stopped answering my emails when I asked for a refund.

Thanks for showing me that I've been acting all wrong for a Chinese person. I should obviously ignore my buyers if they ever bring up the topic of a refund after not receiving their package for over 2 months after the shipment was supposedly made.

This is just offensive...

I also ordered shoes directly from an*tai*na a few times, and never ahd problems. I don't think they are trying to scam you, the mail just seem to have lost it. I think, since the package might be insured, they should give you back your money.

Have you tried putting the tracking number in your local post's tracking? It's possible the Chinese tracking didn't update when they sent it out. It's not common, but it happens.

Sounds like the parcel got lost.
They are not responsible for that, so no they are not a scammer.
Was it insured?

That's a china post issue. Antaina are a pretty reputable company and once the parcel has been shipped and a tracking number provided, they aren't responsible. Try entering the tracking number in your countries postal provider.

China was (and still is) crazy right now because of the holidays. My order from somewhat reputable SS Qutieland on a Kidsyoyo item has been dormant since December. No tracking number, anything. It is unnerving... and Kidsyoyo is still in Christmas mode so they cannot exactly be contacted easily, this might be the case with Antaina? If it was airmail and not EMS, then I would just wait for it and hope for the best.

It sounds to me like the parcel just got lost.While China post has been terribly slow due to the holidays, since they had your package well before the holiday rush would've started and its been quite a lengthy amount of time I would find a way to contact them about your package. If your package was ensured you should be able to get your money back, otherwise I don't know. As others have said, check the tracking number on your local postal services website to see if it ever entered your country.

At this point though it's out of An*tai*na's hands completely. They put your item in the mail system and beyond that can't be responsible for it not getting to you in a timely manner. I'd advise you to remove the scammer tag and not refer to them as scammers as they didn't do anything wrong, the fact that tracking lists it in being in the post services possession at all proves that. The only party you can blame in this situation is China post because it appears they lost your package.

On the China post website http://www.chinapost.com.cn/36/ contact phone numbers are listed in the bottom left corner and the feedback email they listed on their site is this: feedback@chinapost.com.cn I'd advise you to contact somebody at the postal service as soon as possible and see if you can get either money back. I'd also email An*tai*na to ask them if the package was ensured, the reason they probably stopped responding to you is because you kept asking for a refund even though they aren't obligated to give you one.

Hope this mess works itself out and you get your shoes though :

Haz como dicen las chicas, mira en el Correos de tu país porque esa página que has puesto tu no actualiza debidamente desde hace meses.

Yo tuve problemas también con esa página, de todas formas que lleves tanto tiempo esperando no indica nada bueno, pero quien sabe.

September 5th until now is somewhat fishy IMO. December and January is suppose to be their warehouse overflowing period, there's 3 months (sept, oct, nov.) till December and I don't think it takes a parcel so long to get out of China and into the buyer's hands. I'd say that it's a problem with China Post, not Antaina though.

Edit: bought plenty of times from Taobao, don't usually get cases like this unless the item is a pre-order item.

It may not have been their fault originally, but they ARE responsible at least to perform due diligence to help you track down the package. To completely ignore you is not right for any seller, Chinese or otherwise. How was it supposed to be shipped? If it was accidentally sent by surface mail, that can take MONTHS to reach it's destination (4-5 months by China Post by surface mail is not unusual). If it was EMS, then that's quite strange.

Try to contact the post office and see if a trace can be performed. Otherwise, since Antennai's ignoring you, if you paid with a credit card through paypal, contact your credit card company and ask them to mediate. The first course of action is that they will try to call them on a 3-way call between you, the credit card company and the seller. If the seller can't be reached, then the credit card company will usually do a chargeback (similar to Paypal forcing a refund in a claim situation). It's a bit troublesome, but this might be what's needed to not be ignored, and if they keep ignoring you, then, I think the chargeback is deserved since a good seller should at least TRY to help track it down instead of ignoring you after you've paid.

To anyone who thinks otherwise, think of it this way, if the seller's responsibilities ended when they drop the package off at the post office, would you consider it "tough luck" next time you receive a badly damaged item because the seller "isn't responsible"? There would be a LOT fewer negative feedbacks on eglfeedback is the seller is considered absolved of all responsibilities as soon as they drop off the package...

I lately contacted an*tai*na again telling them that I want my money back.
They said they want to give back the money to all customers (so there must be more people with this problem) however they want to wait till the packages get back to them. I do not really get this. if the packages are lost or something they will not return to them..

A friend of mine who isn't active on egl has the same problem and they also sent her a mail saying that they will give the money back. It's just the question when that will happen >.<

It's very sad, I will send them a mail again. Damn! this has been my worst experience buying online, well .. and,they've refunded your payment to you?
I really hope that our money is returned! My payment was 100 USD. . .

PS: Also is very sad that no one believes that this is serious and all people here defends to Antaina as "good seller", for this, I don't reply the comments on this post...

They didn't refund anything to me so far. I sent them a mail again today, I hope they reply ~
oh gosh, that's quite much money. I hope they really give it back to us .. Maybe it helps if we send them mails very often?

Honestly, I also wouldn't say that an*tai*na is a scam. The package got lost in the mail. That's not their fault. But it is their fault that they act unprofessional about it. It's unprofessional that they ignore our mails and that they do not refund us right away ~

I really think about never buying from them again and I also will never recommend them to my friends ever again.

Do you know if there are any other people online who have this problem?
