Photos of AaTP Chest Ribbon Angel OP

Does anyone have a worn photo or know of any worn photos of Alice and the Pirates Chest Ribbon Angel OP?
I'm considering buying it for a graduation dress, but I don't know if it would be appropriate. We're supposed to wear white/ivory knee length tea dresses. It seems to be pretty understated and the correct color/length. I wouldn't wear full out lolita to graduation (it just doesn't seem like the right time to wear it), but I figure this dress is understated enough.

Worn photos? Advice?

Advice here! It would be almost perfect in the eyes of the parents and I'm sure your mom would swoon and say how beautiful you are with kisses galore to give; even though it is REALLY embarrressing . Plus tons of compliments and remarks. The best part- they won't know it's Lolita.

It's super beautiful. Go get it and stun the non-lolis.

Their heads be rollin'.

Hehehe, thanks for the advice! :) I figured it's a dress that I would be able to wear outside of lolita, but wasn't quite sure. :3

I think the length is actually 86-87cm when laid flat, not 92cm. On a shorter person, it would be knee-length. When I owned it, it ended mid-thigh for me.

Thanks for the reply! I'm about 5' 3.75" :S Are you around that height? Also, do you have any photos from when you owned it? :)

I'm 5'7", so I think you'll look fine. I never wore it out, but I have some blurry photos of my friend wearing it. Let me know if you need them (though I don't think they'll be of any help! My dress was the black version).

If it wouldn't be too much trouble, the pictures would help. But please don't go out of your way to find them!

edit: I'd like to send you the FB photo links but your pms are disabled. ):

I wore an extremely similar Innocent World JSK, in black, to a wedding a few years ago, and it was like any other cocktail dress to people with an old-fashioned flair. It was a friend's Summer wedding, so obviously there's some appropriateness-weighing, but still...yes, those are great styles to wear to "real life" events and look great. (And way better than a cheap $30 cocktail dress.)

If you're talking about a High School graduation, you can bet a lot of people are going to be VERY inconsiderate about dressing properly and likely wear jeans anyway....soooo I wouldn't stress yourself too hard.

That's good to hear :3

I go to a private school which is pretty strict with the dress code (no jeans, no cargo pants, t-shirts, bare shoulders, non school brand hoodies, sweatpants, leggings... >.<) so I was a bit worried about the "appropriateness" :P

Does your school have robes for graduation? I remember fretting over my high school graduation outfit...and have absolutely zero photos of it, because we wore our robes the whole time. *sigh*

Nope :) No hats either :P

That's unfortunate, I'm sorry. :(

I'm guessing you go to an all girls school? My girls school also wears white dresses for graduation :)

It used to be, but now we're co-ed since around 1970. :)

Hi! :) I have this dress in pink, and I have definitely worn it casually (just for everyday kind of things). I'm about 5' 1.5", and I feel that without a petticoat the dress is slightly long-ish on me, but that might also just be my taste. I'll try to dig around for some pictures.

Good luck with your graduation! Are you headed off to college this next fall?

That would be awesome, thanks!

:D Thank you! I am off to college in the fall (but I don't know where yet >.<) I'm both excited and nervous, :S but I'm sure that's pretty normal :P

Ah, yep! College is definitely a fabulously interesting experience. :) No matter where you go, you'll definitely end up loving it if you're willing to go out on a limb and try new things. I was definitely pretty nervous myself, but it all worked out in the end!

And I'm still having trouble finding a picture of myself in the dress, but I'll comment again if I do find it. xD

After some searching I found this:

I should let you know that the model height listed there is 158cm (5'2"), and she seems to be holding up the skirt to emulate a petticoat poof - so if she left the skirt flat, the dress would barely cover the knees.
I hope by "knee length tea dresses" your school means sundresses that are knee length, not actual tea-length dresses (which actually hits midcalf).

Yeah, I think maybe in the past they meant actual tea dress, but now people mostly wear sundresses or something of the sort.
