Octopusses/Octopi and Lolita
6th-Feb-2013 11:27 pm
I am particularly fond of the octopus. It's one of my favorite animals and I was searching the web for Loli dresses with an octopus print, all I could find was Candythreads octopus sweets skirt(Which is amazing by the way) but Im sure I'll never find that skirt so my question was, does anyone know of any dresses, skirts, jsks etc. with cute octopus prints?

P.S. If you have the octopus sweets skirt and wanna make someones dream come true let me know ;D

An indie brand Clockwork Rose is releasing a print called Sugar Jellies soon [which I am so excited for!] which has an octopus and a jellyfish and a pufferfish on it :)

Just so you know, the fabric for octopus sweets is available on spoonflower. They didnt include all of the colour ways, but there are three of them.

You forgot the other plural form of octopus which is "Octopodes." ;D

Omg! I love it, I really hate the plural form octopi, it just doesn't roll off the tongue well so I usually say octopusses but I shall now start saying octopodes heh >:3

Also, Atelier Enchateur did a really cute octopus t-shirt that might be good for casual coords.

I saw a girl on my campus with an octopus skirt...it would have been bell-shaped if she'd worn it with a petti...no idea where she got it, though.

Hello, you could also try this etsy store, the print is more a purple/pink/black colour-way (I've brought a head-piece from them and the quality is excellent)

So, not too sure about lolita dresses and the like, but hte book 'Sew Kawaii' by Choly Knight has several octopus and/or jellyfish (which can easily be changed to octopi) patterns, if you make your own accessories/purses/keychains.

Hihi, that reminds me I designed an octo-loli JSK for a friend once, and wanted to make it someday. I don't know where the design is though, so I'm really not being useful all...

This one is just a border print. I didn't check the rest of their shop for other colourways or configurations though.
