Portrait of Things To Come
Hey all,
I know there have been several posts about Baby taking longer than usual to respond to orders, and I understand the reasons that they have been taking longer. My question to those of you who have ordered recently is how long did it ultimately end up taking before you got your confirmation email with payment instructions? I've been expecting it to take a while to hear back, but now I'm at a point where I'm wondering if it's really just because they're backed up or if it's that I'm having transmission errors- I use a yahoo account which I've never had issues with before (and I order pretty often), but I know on their website they warn sometimes yahoo rejects their emails. to give you a sense of my timeline, I sent an order using the shopping cart system on January 16. I have since sent several follow up emails-I didn't want to pester them so I waited 5-6 days between each follow up email, but I definitely wanted to follow up. Still no response, and this is much longer than I've ever had to wait before even during congested times. Anyway, if you've placed an order recently and can share your experience, I'd appreciate it!

I ordered from Baby at the 24th and got my confirmation e-mail at the 28th, which was a lot quicker than I expected! I haven't gotten an e-mail with my tracking number or anything yet, though.

Out of curiousity, did you order through the cart or through email?

a friend of mine ordered on the 15th, same method via cart and never got a confirmation email. she emailed them about something else the same day i think, and they eventually emailed her back about that, but yeah never heard about her order at all.

So weird! I'm wondering if in my follow up emails I should specify my order again then?

no idea! on one hand i'm sure it's a good idea to try but they must be really swamped x___x

Yeah, I don't want to be one of those people who keeps hounding them when they're clearly swamped, but still! It's frustrating to see that the girl who commented above ordered after me and got confirmation quicker!

yeah that's so strange, you'd think they'd be taking orders chronologically. feels unfair :(

I pre- ordered one of the elisabeth JSKs and bonnet in early December and have yet to receive a tracking number.....getting kind of pissed actually. I did pay them and they did say they got my payment but to please be patient....um yeah I think I have been patient long enough *grumbles* give me my stuff!!!

I'm with you. I ordered from the sale on the 17th of January, and although I got my confirmation email for the order being placed, I haven't gotten my payment one. The item I ordered is long sold out now, so I am wondering if it is still waiting for me in a warehouse somewhere?

edit: I did email them once, last Thursday, to see if there was anything wrong or if they were just busy or whatever, but I haven't gotten a reply.

I'm in the same boat. I ordered the 17th and have yet to hear back! IW took a long time too but I received an invoice from them!

2nd January: ordered two items from their sale via the shopping cart
- holidays until 6th January
9th January: got the confirmation e-mail and payment information
16th January: they shipped out my package

I don't know if this is of much help, since my order is about one month ago.
But you can get a clue of how long it can take them to process your order during their sales.
I hope everything works out and you get your items. :/

I finally got my invoice email from Baby late yesterday! That was a loooong time. However, I am SUPER happy that it took so long because the dollar just went up against the yen! Yeah!!!

Well that's good news! I've still heard nothing... and now the website says the item I ordered is out of stock... I wonder if that means I won't be able to get it, or if they have the stock for my order since I used the cart? Getting so annoyed!!
