The one, the infamous... Sugary Carnival replica

Well i didn't see any thread about this lately, so I'm posting it.
While I was eating some homemade cookies, came to my mind a dress I saw in Dream of lolita a few days ago
a melty chocolate replica in a colorway i've never seen in the sales, so I went there to check it again and saw this!



Yes! finally the infamous Sugary Carnival replica is in this store!
and also...

50 USD?!?!?!?, well for a replica is a good price...

So what do you girls think?
I'm totally buying it, and even more if they sell it in black (it's my favorite colorway)
Me, myself is not going to pay like 10 times this price for a used dress S:
I know about the value of the original one, but I'm totally against of buying used clothes for way more
than the people paid for them....

Just hopes this doesn't get into a discussion about "OMG is wrong to buy replicas all of you support art thefth"
not all the people have the money or patience to wait until you see one of "all people" dream dresses
and not just that, for the double of the original NWT price

First, you should cut this.

Second, for fifty bucks I'd be surprised if it lasts one washing. Or makes it out of the package intact.

well, for 50 dlls I would give a try, it's not like I'm getting poor or something, besides I've seen some reviews of this store, and it doesn't sound that bad.

besides looking ridiculously short on the model, it seems alright from a distance...i'd like to see print details though!
either way, sugary carnival has never been my thing.

I hope so xD but I don't really think so hahah, hope they sell the black colorway, is my favorite of all, I would like to see the print details but I was going to buy a skirt and a dress from that store... so I might take the risk (:

The only way I think it will be cheaper... is when most of the original ones are so used or stained that NO ONE will pay even a full price for them...

I think some pictures of this were released a while back and a discussion off EGL came to the conclusion that the dress used in THOSE pictures was the actual SC, and not the replica. If so, then people may want to wait and see.

I told too that the dress in the picture was the original one since the lace seems to be soft (I have the black SC original skirt so I can see the real difference) and with ponies like the original, plus there is the headbow with the star charm and I think it's the original one though it's not difficult to find star charm to add to an headbow.

The dress itself looks fine, but the random netting that extends several inches past the bottom of the dress looks cheap and out-of-place.

I finally know where I stand on the issue of replicas. My initial stance was that I didn't care really and I'd buy them if I liked them. Then I almost bought one and questioned why I was so hesitant...I realized that while I don't really care about other people doing it ethics-wise, it just takes some of the specialness of it away for me! >_

I pretty much feel about replicas the same way cats feel about rain, and as a general rule I refuse to buy them. I'm not gonna lie, though- if this is legit, I might just get the headbow to match my skirt. I've had no luck tracking one of the little bastards down, and it's been years now. Then again, I might find myself unable to do it.

uuuuuggghhh, it's very tempting. I'm not going to lie but it is >.<. I've wanted this print since it was released, but am in no position to spend $500+ on the real thing. I don't know about it though. I'll just wait until the reviews of the actual thing come out and then I'll decide. I'm torn because I know I'll never be able to afford the real one, but at the same time having the replica isn't the same as having the real thing. I'm also not a fan of replicas of prints.

looks interesting, if this is legit then I might buy it in lavender but I would really want the black colorway cuz that's my favorite. and I agree that random netting is annoying however I'm not to worried about length cuz I am short (under 5'1" >_<)
