A reliable Taobao Agent
14th-Nov-2010 04:29 pm
I'm searching for a good and reliable Taobao Agent. I have TaobaoFocus.com in mind, since they dont charge Paypal fees, and when I calculate, they can be cheaper than other Taobao agents. Yet, I am not sure if they are reliable or not. Has someone already tried/purchased in TaobaoFocus? Would you love to share a review about this agent?

Or you use other Taobao Agents who charge cheaper fees? Would you like to share? thank you!

TaoBaoNow uses a shopping cart and has a very easy to navigate website. They charge 10% also and no pp fees.

But from what I've heard, TaobaoNow is not reliable, specially in communication.

I recently ordered items through them, and they're very friendly, answer in a timely manner and I liked them a lot. I didn't order any custom sized items though.

I've got an order going on with them and they reply incredibly fast and are pretty friendly. I was skeptic to purchase for the same reason, but I use their shopping cart to keep all my items together and usually fill out a form with taobaospree...but I had so many items I didn't feel like putting them all in a form when I had them in a cart already so I gave it a try! So far they have been much faster than taobaonow.

faster than taobaospree* I mean

Taobaonow was great for me, they always answered my questions politely and promptly and didn't mine my slow communication, or the fact I had my items sit in their warehouse for almost 3 months. After I paid for shipping they sent me a message like 2 days later saying they'd shipped my package, and they give you a discount on shipping.

I an using them right now. I have only had one problem with communication but I messaged them again after 4 days and they got back to me right away. They also take 40% off EMS so thats nice. My items should be here any day.

I haven't heard of TaoboaFocus so I can't give you my opinions on them. Personally I use Dollypoddle for any Taobao or Anna House orders, and always have good experience from them.

i have used them once before.
check the memories, they have some reviews.

i really enjoy them and plan on useing them really soon.

I second Dollypoddle.
She's been very patient and helpful with me.

I use TaobaoSpree, they were perfecto for my last order but to be honest, my order is going a little slower this time (for replies about custom sizing and changes to my order). I went with them originally because I'd read a handful of positive reviews and sometimes they have some good deals and specials.

Second for TaobaoSpree. I have worked with them a few times and never have any issue.

Also they might have delays until the 22nd because the main person who runs the SS is getting married.

Oh I see! I don't mind, I'm not particularly impatient I was just a little curious. I figured it's probably a circumstantial thing rather than an actual decline in service.

Thanks for the info :)

Yea, TaobaoSpree are great people =D
They don't charge you for 10% but only 50 RMB if you spend less then $500 RMB.
They did everything really fast for me and I really love them =3

I think it's just delays in communication with Miss Susan (now a Mrs!!) herself. I am working with a girl called Doris and she responds in a day, even just yesterday to let me know she got my payment.

I will probably be adding a review of TaobaoSpree, Classical Puppets and KidsYoYo in the next couple weeks when I get my stuff :3

Hm, I e-mailed them about a week ago with a list of products but they still haven't replied. Maybe I should just go with dollypoddle, but she's more expensive (lotsa 18 yuan socks in this order).

I use Dollypoddle and she's wonderful. She'll answer all your questions and she does it in a timely manner, while she's really polite and try to help you the best she can :)

I agree with the recommendation of Dollypoddle, she's fantastic & her fees are pretty reasonable!

I haven't heard about taobaofocus so I can't give an opinion about that. I agree with everyone else about dollypoddle. She is very friendly, always replies fast andshe is very patient. I definitely recomend her

This is my second shipment with TaobaoFocus. I say second shipment, but actually it's my ...seventh? tenth? order. I'd say they're pretty good, the last shipment went over 500USD, it involved multiple orders (one order being for several items from different sellers, so it had the potential to get confusing), and not a single item was missing or anything. This time I've got three orders going, and because the second one is taking a long time, they're shipping my first and third order to me first.

Communication-wise, if it's a quick question like "has this arrived yet" or "what does this listing say" then they usually answer within 24 hours (if it's a question they have to ask the seller, then they reply after a few days). I really like this, I've ordered direct from taobao sellers through a friend, and sometimes taobao sellers take their sweet time replying, or don't reply at all.

They do assume you know what you're ordering, so if you're not sure what the listing is for, ask taobaofocus to translate for you (I almost ordered a furisode when i wanted the hakama, which wasn't for sale ^^; Another time was when the listing had two prices, and it took me awhile to figure out that the higher price included headband and the lower one didn't). Another thing is that the taobao sellers themselves sometimes don't have the items in stock even if the listing says it's in stock, or don't do custom measurements for that particular item, so be prepared for a little possible dissappointment.

at the moment i'm placing an order with ibuygle. http://www.ibuygle.com/
They're definitely cheaper and their one click system works really well, which is what i think makes them so much cheaper.

Downside is they're really busy at the moment so everythings a bit delayed and it's hard to get your order in before they cut off order placement.
I started trawling through taobao a few months back for dresses but now realise how i need it for my life and will forever more try to avoid buying things from my highstreet.
I know it's totally stuck up and stupid, but i just love knowing that nobody else in my city has the same thing. Sadly i've ended up buying lots of normal things (Shoes, jeans, figurines anything with rilakkuma on it i don't already own) and no lolita stuff :x

I'll be sure to post a review if the order ends happily.
18th-Nov-2010 01:35 pm (UTC)
I'll wait for your review! :)

ibuygle were taking too long to do anything, so i cancelled and went with taobaonow who's fees are basically the same.
19th-Nov-2010 04:51 am (UTC)
I see..

I want to know if Taobaonow is NOW reliable... :P
18th-Nov-2010 01:34 pm (UTC)
