BBW Lolita Pics?
26th-Oct-2010 04:21 pm
I would love to see anyone who is plus size wearing the Lolita style of clothing. I went back a few pages and didn't see any posts of this nature so I am hoping that if you are a bigger girl with pics on your journal that I can take a peek. All the pictures that I have seen are of littler girls and as a larger woman I want to see some of the opposite :)

There's also egl_plus

However.. if you're looking more for the "kink" rather than looking beautiful/adorable/chic um.. this isn't that sort of community. Also, it's slightly offensive to hear "little girls" when not everyone who's very petite or thin is "little", they come in all ages =/

Agreed. This is a fashion community and I'll be honest, some people are not comfortable about this post and some other issues being brought up.

If you are genuinely interested in the fashion, then I apologize. If not, there ARE underaged members in this community, so please keep that in mind.

As someone plus sized myself, i am 99.999% sure she meant larger size wise.

as to little being offensive, i never thought of that before. Again i think she meant it in terms of dress size I mean, i'm big and people describe me as such.

would small be preferable to little?

As a younger sibling, you get tired VERY quickly of people going "Oh, you're the little one!". It gets old. Fast. (If you say this with a Gary Coleman voice, you win!). I'd like small, yes ^^;

I think it's fairly obvious that she's a BBW herself and wants to see the fashion in a way that relates to her. I don't see how this could be construed as pervy or offensive. She didn't call anyone a little girl, she said littler.

You would have had to seen this post when it was first written. =/ I've seen both edits.
27th-Oct-2010 02:05 am (UTC)
i've only seen the post as it is now? was it terribly different? Because that might help me understand the negative reaction.
27th-Oct-2010 02:06 am (UTC)
It was written from a perspective that.. unnerved many members.
27th-Oct-2010 02:27 pm (UTC)
i saw the caps on gtfo egl. yeah i get the negative reaction now

The connotation of "BBW" tends to be linked to a fetish for bigger women. Digging from members that raised brows at this did not help in the least.
26th-Oct-2010 10:49 pm (UTC)
I think she means little as in smaller than herself, as a BBW I call anyone smaller than me size wise little, its not just a way to denote age.

EGL_plus is awesome, im part of that community and we talk about what brand will and will not fit us etc.

I can take a few pictures for you id you want in a 26-28 US dress size I consider myself large, and so does everyone else XD

It would help if you gave us more information about what you are looking for in this post. "BBW" is a little broad still past the plus_lolita communities. Are you interested in a specific style of the fashion? Its best to research our community so you can learn the best way we can help you.

Also, I would replace the BBW and wording of your question as it seems a little fetishized. We in this community try to keep as far away from the fetish aspect of it as possible to lessen confusion of the FASHION. Thanks.

thank you for saying this in a way I could not. this is exactly what I was thinking but I was afraid I would sound rude.

Most of you didn't see the nature of the original thread and all of my responses have been deleted and my original post edited.

I did not, in anyway mean to come across as a fetishist (I am not one) and BBW is a term that I have seen used in many communities and posting sites that have absolutely nothing to do with fetishes. The term Big Beautiful Woman is not meant to be sexual in any way and I am actually surprised that it was taken as such.

Clearly I have been misunderstood in my original question (granted, it was not worded very well).

As for people having issues with the word "little" or "littles" please ignore the phrase it is not at meant how you are taking it but you cannot see why it was used because of the post editing.

Thank you to those who have offered places to go and see others who are larger like myself I appreciate it. Can't say that I will be posting here again but I will still likely lurk.

Sorry you got that impression... I didn't get offended by the post (I'm petite) but I think because this community is so large, you're bound to get some people to take things the wrong way. :(

Like stated above, the community egl_plus is great, although they usually are a bit skimpy on pics. Check out daily_lolita and browse through. There always seems to be an array of different girls of different sizes posting there. Just poke around, I'm sure you'll find some! :D
27th-Oct-2010 01:51 pm (UTC)
Thank you I will be sure to do that.

It is generally bad form to delete comments. :/ Just sayin'
27th-Oct-2010 08:38 am (UTC)
I believe a mod screened them actually?
27th-Oct-2010 08:59 am (UTC)
But there are a bunch of comments that are gone, and I don't think the mods will do that. They generally freeze threads that get out of hand right?
27th-Oct-2010 09:10 am (UTC)
Yes, they're screened, that's why you can't see them ^^
27th-Oct-2010 01:51 pm (UTC)
And not only my comments were screened there were others screened as well.
27th-Oct-2010 01:49 pm (UTC)
I didn't delete a single comment, actually. They have been screened by a mod.
27th-Oct-2010 07:54 am (UTC)
well...just so you know, the people who post negative comments are usually a minority it seems...all though good or bad, deleeting comments is often looked down upon...just fyi...
All though I am not large in any way, I do have to depend on brand shirring most of the time, or I must stick with off brands such as bodyline, or other western brands. Either that or learn to sew! I have made SO many outfits from sewing my own. And I love it because i get specifically what I want, or whatever size I want seeing as I am the one with the fabric and sewing machine! :]

OMG Le Drama...
Girls, play nice now.
It's obvious she just would like to get some inspiration from others with the same bodytype as her, and that "little" didn't mean anything past a lower dress size as herself.
No need to jump so high upon the cubboard, everyone!
It makes fellow Loli's feel very unwelcome. Not everyone is a Poe-Perfect wordsmith.

So as per request, this is me *just* fitting into AP Melty Chocolate:¤t=WonkaMeltyChoco1.jpg

Not an intrusive question at all!
I love AP because it can be so forgiving. ^___^
I have a 100 cm. bust and 90 cm waist at the moment... The MC JSK is high waisted so that leaves room for a bit of a tummy. *^.^*
