Rose Combs Tutorial

huzzah
A few people have asked me about how to make rose corsage combs, so while I was putting together another set to match my new dresses, I snapped a few shots for a mini-tutorial. It's one of the easiest hair decorations you can make, but it's perfectly elegant and a perennial favorite for classic lolitas. In fact it's so easy, you'll be hot-gluing in your sleep before the night's over.

These look wonderful... but how do you get them to stay in your hair?

I think reasonably you could apply the flower design to a different base and attach alligator clips to the base if you have issues with combs falling out.

But if you want to keep it as a comb, the way my mom taught me to put in combs is to turn it upside down, place it into your hair like you're combing it, and then flip it right side up and push it into position. It's like hair magic and seems to lock the comb in place better.
